SEMA 2009: Chevy Graphics Camaro not bashful about changing in public
Chevrolet decided that it might be fun to have a contest to pick out a new decal pack for its hot new Camaro. They posted six different possible decal sets on Facebook a while back and after letting their online friends vote, the automaker chose four finalists. Those four looks were applied to a silver Camaro over the course of the four-day SEMA show in Vegas. We stopped by the booth every day except Friday and took some pics to show you how the stickers looked in person. We've assembled a gallery so you can peruse each and then head over ... Read more →

In the Ford booth at SEMA this year, we spotted a matching set of 1967 and 2010 Shelby GT500 Mustangs. White with blue stripes, they looked incredible even in the unflattering lighting of Central Hall. The 1967 example is a verified Shelby original, number 3139 in the Shelby Registry. The 2010 ...

The motor is mounted amidships, albeit backwards (note the throttle body). And the House of Kolor paint is ...

Toyota garnered a lot of attention at this year's Tokyo Motor Show with the debut of the FT-86 concept. And they weren't about to let it slip past them, either. As part of the spectacle, they played the sounds of the prototype supposedly rounding the Nürburgring. The FT-86 is being ...
SEMA 2009: Badass Chevy Chevelle isn't as fuelish as it seems 1 day ago on Autoblog
The clean exterior of this 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle hides a wicked little secret – if you take a look at the photo above, you'll see what we mean. The bundle of plumbing you see spilling out of the engine bay tells only part of the story – that's no overworked Chevy small block in ...

Gullwing America takes on Mercedes' latest supercar, creates SLS Panamericana 1 day ago on Autoblog
Few cars are as classic and iconic as the original Gullwing, also known as the Mercedes-Benz 300SL. Created by a loophole in racing rules when MB realized that, "Nowhere is it written that a door can only open sideways." Hence, Mercedes was allowed to retain the strength of the 300SL's (as well ...

SEMA 2009: Vaughn Gittin's all-carbon fiber RTR-C Mustang 2 days ago on Autoblog
Of all the Mustangs in the Ford booth, Vaughn Gittin Jr.'s carbon fiber RTR-C Mustang was by far our favorite. To answer the question everyone is wondering – no, it's not a wrap. The carbon fiber body panels are the real deal. According to Vaughn, the lightweight material saves 400-500 ...
SEMA 2009: Yenko Camaro cuts through the aftermarket fog 2 days ago on Autoblog
There a lot of new Camaros here at SEMA. In fact, depending upon your depth of exhaustion, residual blood-alcohol level from last night and general brain-deadedness, you might be forgiven for thinking that every other car here is a Camaro. And some of them, well, ain't so great. Useless ground ...

Chrysler to outfit Fiat 500-approved dealers with specific showroom "salons" 2 days ago on Autoblog
Listening to Chrysler's long and rambling 2010-2014 Business Plan, it was clear that the company and its dealerships are very much looking forward to finally getting the Fiat 500 in North America. Much like what happened when BMW launched the Mini brand eight-odd years ago, it's hoped that the ...

SEMA 2009: Hennessey HPE700 Camaro 2 days ago on Autoblog
We like subtle and we like power. But at SEMA the two are usually mutually exclusive. Usually. After laying eyes and hands all over the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro HPE700 LS9 and talking at length with John Hennessey, we think we've found our favorite Chevy of the show. We've been covering its ...
BMW M3 GTS unveiled! 2 days ago on Autoblog
Well that was fast. As well it should be. Because what you're looking at is the most hardcore roadgoing M3 to date. It's called the GTS – not, as had been previously speculated, the CSL, GT or GT4 Street – and after seeing a few spy shots and some speculated details, BMW has just ...
SEMA 2009: Production Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T R-Spec slips into SEMA 2 days ago on Autoblog
If someone hadn't reread the Hyundai press release, we might have totally missed seeing the Genesis Coupe 2.0T R-Spec. Compared to the RM460 and other tuned Coupes in the booth, the R-Spec just didn't sparkle enough for us to pursue it. And perhaps that's the point. The 2.0T R-Spec launches a ...
SEMA 2009: 427-powered Fiat 500 is the stuff dreams are made of 2 days ago on Autoblog
Okay, this is so awesome it hurts. The guys at Legacy Innovations took a perfectly lovely but woefully underpowered 1959 Fiat 500 and turned it into a Fiat 7,000. The Fiat 500 is an iconic car, one with tremendous nostalgic charm, but it was never really much good as a car until they redid it a ...
SEMA 2009: Lingenfelter takes the wraps off 750-horsepower Camaro SS 2 days ago on Autoblog

Part Chevy, Part Lamborghini: UK getting VR Camaro 2 days ago on Autoblog
The idea sure sounds horrible; a Camaro with styling cues from the Lamborghini Reventon; but seeing the VR Camaro tells a different story. Available only in two color schemes, a Bandit-pleasing black and gold, or Hurst-reminiscent white and gold, the VR looks badass, either way. Making it past ...
